Usage notes

  • This verb is specific to bracelets and necklaces; the verb לָבַשׁ (lavásh) is used for clothing, the verb נָעַל (na'ál) for shoes (as well as sandals and so on), the verb הִרְכִּיב (hirkív) for glasses, the verb עָנַד (anád) for bracelets and necklaces, and sometimes the verb גָּרַב (garáv) for socks.
