1. The 27th letter and 19th consonant of the Tai Tham Pali alphabet. In Pali it represents the voiced, aspirated dental consonant /dʰ/.

In the modern vernacular languages, Northern Thai, Tai Lü, Tai Khün and Lao, this letter generally represents the aspirated voiceless dental consonant /tʰ/. The graphic contrast between ᨳ and ᨵ represents a distinction of tone.
