呉服店

Compound of 呉服 (gofuku, “fabric, drapery; dry goods”) +‎ 店 (tana, “store”).^[1][2][3] The tana changes to dana as an instance of rendaku (連濁). As a standalone noun, tana is usually spelled in kanji as 棚 with a meaning of “shelf, shelves”. In certain contexts, and when spelled as 店, the reference is to the shelves of inventory, and by extension, a store or merchant selling that inventory.^[3]

First attested in 1688.^[1]
