     In May 2015, South Korean National Intelligence Service person in charge disclosed to the National Assembly that Minister of the People's Armed Forces Hyon Yong-chol, who was North Korean Military No. 2 person in charge, was executed for treason. They also claimed that Hyon Yong-chol was shot dead by anti-aircraft gun — so called "execution by artillery fire".
