Etymology

From ꦠꦶꦒ (tiga) +‎ -ꦲꦤ꧀ (-an), from Old Javanese hantiga (“egg”), alternative form of hantelu (now supplanted by endhog) developed in analogy to tiga, telu (“three”).[1]
