SHAVIAN LETTER HUNG
𐑘

Shavian 𐑚

English

Letter

𐑙 (ng)

  1. (Shavian) the sound /ŋ/.

Usage notes

There is an argument that 𐑙 ng and 𐑣 h should have the opposite readings, and perhaps reflect a printer's error, because otherwise voiceless consonants have ascenders and their voiced partners have descenders. Some books have been published with this opposite assignment.
