Proto-Slavic
Etymology
From Proto-Balto-Slavic *lákšna, from Proto-Indo-European *logʰsnóm, possibly a doublet of Proto-Slavic *ložesno (“womb”) (with thematic *-e-). According to some interpretations, akin to Ancient Greek λοξός (loxós), λέχρῐος (lékhrĭos, “tilted, slanted”).
